 Former Mayor Richard J. Daley referred to the City of Chicago as a beautiful quilt made up of many different neighborhood nationalities sewn together. Historian Jim Gibbons will discuss the City of Chicago, the history behind the neighborhoods and its ethnic backgrounds. He will discuss how the city became known as the melting pot of the world. Gibbons will also explain how despite differences in diversity, these ethnic groups learn, grow and prosper together as an example for all the world to see. REGISTER
