Description:
 Historian Jim Gibbons will discuss the World’s Columbian Exposition, later to be called the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Gibbons will explain how Thomas Edison brought new inventions and how author L. Frank Baum wrote the book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz based on the fair. He will also discuss the book The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair that Changed America, based on the H.H. Holmes murders. REGISTER
