 Join us on Wednesday, October 3rd for a brand-new, specially-created outing designed to highlight our beautiful city’s landmarks to celebrate the Illinois bicentennial! This riveting tour around Chicago will explore some of the city’s well-known historical attractions and the famous names behind them, including Buckingham Fountain, Holy Family Church, Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, Graceland Cemetery, and other points of interest.

Historian Jim Gibbons will lead this tour as he discusses some the city’s most well-known landmarks. Mr. Gibbons is an enthusiastic and well-respected researcher and presenter known for his passionate retelling of historical stories. He brings to life his slogan “Life is no mystery when you know your history.”

Join us for $75 per person, which includes all required fees, lunch and round-trip luxury coach transportation. The unique smorgasbord luncheon buffet at Sawa's Old Warsaw restaurant features many Polish and American favorites, including the house specialty, oxtail stew, served only on special occasions.

Be prepared for time up on your feet, as the tour will involve significant periods standing at some of the stops we will visit.
In-person ticket sales at Cook Park Library only will continue until sold out.

A minimum of 40 participants with a maximum of 52 participants is required for this event to take place.

Tickets are non-refundable. If for any reason you cannot use your tickets, it is up to you to find a replacement.
