This and other fascinating details are the subject of our latest art history exploration that parallels this summerís John Singer Sargent exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago.
In this lecture, art historian Jeff Mishur discusses highlights of John Singer Sargentís career as a portraitist, muralist and and plein air painter. Sargentís society portraits including ďMadame XĒ gave him the financial freedom to paint diverse subjects and to travel in Italy, England, France and Spain. REGISTER
