The End of 108 Years of Bleacher Futility

Event Type: Adult Program
Age Group(s): Adults
Date: 7/24/2017
Start Time: 6:30 PM
End Time: 7:30 PM
Description:

In 1945, George Sianis cursed the Cubs: They would never be in a World Series again. His curse worked. By the 1980s, they were known as the "Lovable Losers.”

During these years, the Cubs faithful in the bleachers sat through losses, demonstrating their loyalty and making deep and abiding friendships. In 2016, the curse was broken, and everything changed.

Join bleacher anthropologist Holly Swyers as she explores life in the bleacher after the Cubs historic World Series victory. REGISTER
