College of Lake County Professor and "Trekkie" John Tenuto traces the amazing history of one of popular culture's most enduring phenomenon: Star Trek. This fascinating presentation will feature rare and never before seen photos, trivia, and previously unknown information from production memos and early drafts of scripts. Special attention will also be paid to the making of the 1967 episode "Space Seed, " which starred Ricardo Montalban as Khan, providing a detailed look at how a Star Trek episode was produced. Based on the idea that "art thrives on limitations," John will show how Star Trek was produced despite the odds being against it. Registration required.
